Each coaster style is designed in-house using hand drawn fonts and icons for an organic feel. Our coasters are cut from the thickest harness leather we could find, and we choose to source it from the legendary Wickett & Craig, one of the best and oldest tanneries in America. Using a natural and eco-friendly vegetable tanning process that has been perfected over the past 150 years, each piece of leather takes six weeks to complete. Each of our premium leather coasters is then cut and pressed by hand by our artisans in Milwaukee.

Sugarhouse Leather is a small-scale leather studio based in Milwaukee, WI. We aim to craft interesting leather items that boast a distinctive style falling somewhere between rustic and refined. Made by American hands with natural materials, each finished piece becomes unique, with subtle imperfections that make it truly one-of-a-kind. We’re currently focused on expanding our popular leather coasters into a diverse lineup of designs with many up-and-coming cities, states, and areas around the country, and hopefully beyond.

We will gladly accept returns placed on retail orders within 14 days of receipt for a refund of the product price and any applicable taxes (shipping and handling charges not included). If we’ve made a mistake or something arrives damaged, let us know and we’ll get a replacement sent right away! Please contact us by email for return approval, and include a copy of your receipt or invoice in the package. Unauthorized returns or returns without an invoice cannot be processed. Any returned product must be unused and undamaged in ints original packaging. Buyer is responsible for return shipping. Custom orders, personalized products, or items marked “Final Sale” may not be returned.

Leather is a natural material, and the variation across a hide and the unique scars and markings acquired during the life of the animal will vary from hide to hide. This means that different pieces of leather, and even different areas on the same piece of leather, will absorb dyes and oils differently, much like the grain and knots on a piece of wood. There may be some slight variation in color, texture, or natural grain and markings on the specific coasters you receive, making each of our products one-of-a-kind!
